Let's be honest: what you wear says a great deal about you. People make judgements about what others wear which can work for or against you. Get it right and you look like a million dollars, get it wrong and you will wished you stayed at home!

Fashion elicits a range of emotions in its admirers which range from the initial endorphin rush when you spot that 'must have' garment: through to pride and increased self confidence when wearing that outfit of your dreams.

Fashion 'one night' stands

There are clothes which are bought on impulse that have the power to excite and frighten in the same breath. There is that initial frisson of delight when you have spotted an item of clothing which breaks all the fashion rules. And then there is that momentary fear because you have had the nerve to do so. It is never easy to be a fashion leader rather than a fashion follower but the risks are worth it.

Fashion staples

There are items of clothing which are always on trend. These include the little black dress for women, the crisp white shirt for men, the military jacket and the slip on loafers. These and many other items come and go but are still a fashion favourite.

Fashion is cyclical in that what goes around comes around so you can be sure that those straight leg jeans or plain white t-shirt will make a comeback very soon. Albeit with a few changes this time.

Fluid and evolving

Expect your tastes in fashion to change over time which is due to growing older and taking on responsibilities. You can experiment with different colours, textures and accessories when single and fancy free but this them makes way for classic combinations where simplicity and style are the most important aspects.

Fashion delight or fashion disaster: whatever path you choose a passion for fashion remains as strong as ever. This is not a brief encounter.
