Say No To Online Credit Disputes
It is no secret that over 38% of the people in the United States have less than perfect credit. Also we see more and more people that have severely damaged credit that can stay on their credit reports for a minimum of seven years. If this growing problem is not bad enough, we have the new growing risk of being a victim of identity theft. An identity thief does not know if you have good or bad credit until they attempt to steal your identity. As a credit repair owner, I have seen many consumers come to me who have attempted to do online disputes themselves online with the credit agencies. These consumers do not understand why the response is always the same from these agencies when done this way. Let me be the first to tell you that I have not come across one consumer that has read the entire online agreement for all of the credit agencies, and this leads to a big problem. The credit agencies first of all do not have to physically verify information that you request if you request that it be verified online. Are you shocked yet? If you submit a request this way the credit agencies will verify it automatically, which really means that the creditor is going to verify the information automatically and you the consumer will be dead in the water.
Another trick that the agencies use against you by trying to get you to file your investigations online is that you are agreeing that all of the items you are disputing belong to you. Gotcha there didn't I? Yes, believe it or not you are stating that all of the accounts on your credit file belong to you when you dispute online. The credit agencies do not make money by helping you eliminate your negative debt, they make money by selling your information and most often times reporting inaccurate or false information. The lower your credit score, the more money the credit agencies are making off you.
Getting your credit report is easy enough, and the law protects you the consumer from unfair and unjust actions. Rest assured that credit agencies will try to bully you and get you to give up, and they absolutely hate credit repair firms because we know they are bully's and it is our job to stop them dead in their tracks and help you the consumer fight fire with fire.
