My First Cute Puppy Rescued From A Shelter
When we initially got our new dog, I couldn't have been happier. She was a cutie and we named her Chianti, after the wine. Our little rescue dog hadn't exactly had a good life up until this point. Her previous owners neglected her and never gave her any sort of positive attention. It would take nearly two hours for us to get to the closest decent pet store. Time to take out those Amazon coupons I had been holding onto to use for something important. Our little dog was in desperate need of a little over the top spoiling.
There were so many different toys and I purchased her a bunch of them. I ordered a dog toy rope and the plastic one that the peanut butter goes in too. Then I suddenly remembered that I didn't even have dog dishes for her food and water. Right then and there I made the choice that it would only be the best here on out for my little angel. For her food dishes, I ordered a set that is pretty princess pink with fake diamonds and the whole thing. Until everything arrived at the house she was going to have to put up with kitchen bowls like I used from the cupboard.
After doing some reading online about health concerns for Chihuahuas, I discovered that they can easily choke if they are kept on a regular collar and leash. In order to protect their trachea from being damaged it was necessary to get keep them on a harness whenever they are attached to a leash. In fact, on her throat there was a little area where the fur had been worn off from where her last owners had put on her collar. How my heart was shattered from such inhumane treatment my little princess received.
The harness I ended up choosing was a cute little plaid one that came from the leading and top-rated supplier. Of course I will get her everything else she needs, but I had to draw the line for myself when I started looking at clothes to dress her up in. Shh, don't tell anyone else that I did get her the cutest warm sweater. The winters do get sort of cold here and I know she won't take to the extremely cold weather very well.
It seemed very quickly that all of my orders started arriving. It took just a week for every package from every merchant to arrive at my house. I enjoyed spending time bonding with her. I was so happy that I didn't have to take her on a long car ride. With all the stress of her former life, I didn't think she needed that stress too. Now she was finally living the good life she ultimately deserved.
