Christmas In A Cup

by Tracey England

Christmas is everyone's favourite time of the year, presents, the warmth of a burning log fire and not forgetting the infamous Christmas dinner; an opportunity to eat to your heart's content and for one day only not bother thinking about the calorific content! There is nothing better than enjoying Christmas afternoon watching those classical Christmas movies with a hot minced pie, Christmas cake and a classically British hot cup of tea.

But this year why not try a different hot cup of tea with your favourite Christmas pudding? Spiced winter red tea is a special blend of orange, cinnamon and cloves on a rooibos (red) tea base and will warm you all the way through! Not only can this winner of the Great Taste Gold 2012 beverage be drunk as a tea, it can also be drunk as a delicious wintery latte, it really is Christmas in a cup!

If you have a bit of a sweet tooth and prefer a sweeter tasting tea why not try Chocolate Flake tea, perfect to accompany your hot minced pie or chocolaty treats. This tea is also an ideal substitute to those chocolaty treats if you are trying to keep an eye on your waist this Christmas!

Christmas is a time where you can let yourself go, enjoy the delicious buffets, Christmas meals and especially Christmas dinner, but we all know the annual after Christmas and New Year feeling where we have indulged in an extra cheeky mulled wine or two. You need to detox and rid yourself of that bloated, sluggish feeling to get to you feeling back to normal!

If this is the case there is a wide variety of herbal teas available, full of powerful, natural antioxidant to get you back to feeling like good old you. Peppermint tea is perfect if you are still in that Christmassy mood, a clever hot brew that provides a contrastingly cool but refreshing taste to get your body working in harmony once again.

On the other hand a Super Fruit tea is perfect for getting you back in to that working mood, especially after the Christmas break where returning to work is harder than normal. This tea containing real blueberries and cranberries will get you up and ready in no time, eradicating that lifeless feeling. Whatever your taste is this Christmas why not spice it up a little with a wide variety of teas available online or in store.
