Online dating is still fraught with peril when you consider the scams individuals have devised. There are several scams for online dating that you should be aware of. Some of the scams are literally common sense issues. As long as you are wary of the people you are talking with and analyze the situations you can avoid some of the scams. However there are still scams out there that can make it difficult to enjoy online dating. For instance there are individuals who are trolling the sites to find easy marks. If they rush you into meeting them or sharing a phone number on the guise of knowing you are the right one you are probably dealing with a scam. They may try to take you out and leave the dinner bill for you, they may obtain your home address, or even steal your credit card information.

It is important to be cautious when dating online to avoid scams. You should take the time to talk to someone online and get to know them instead of rushing into a meeting. Someone who is really interested in dating will want to get to know you and will understand your wariness. Someone looking to scam you will try to rush you, and may get angry with you or lose interest if you put off meeting or refuse to give out your phone number. They probably won't stick around if you make things a little more difficult for them. Even when you do feel comfortable, you should always arrange to meet somewhere public.
