There are so many people offering so many opportunities for home Internet businesses that it can get confusing, even overwhelming. The trouble is there is often so much hype that you can find it hard to believe. Particularly when they offer easy money or overnight riches. The danger here is, you will turn off altogether as you feel you are not sure who you can trust or you are not sure what system will really work. Here are three questions you can ask yourself that might help you find a genuine Internet home business opportunity.

1. Does it seem to good to be true?

2. Can I get full information on the marketer or business and will it stand up to scrutiny?

3. Will I be happy selling the product?

There is a difference between being able to make a lot of money and being able to make it quickly. Many people are making money on the web but very few of them became rich overnight, and they did not do it without hard work and dedication. I believe we have to apply the old adage, "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is".

It is very important to find something you could do or an item you can market that will offer you both money and job satisfaction. It is better if you have both. I am happiest selling a product or service that will help people in a significant way -- one that might make a genuine difference in their lives. Certainly I want to make money, and this will make me feel good, yet I want the satisfaction of knowing I am helping other people achieve their goals.

For many years I sold life and disability insurance. I enjoyed what I did because I made good money and I saw the results of my work when people made claims. I felt I was able to help people in an important way. I gained money and job satisfaction. I saw the products in action and knew they worked, otherwise I could not have promoted them.

When you promote a product I think you are making a promise that it will do exactly what you claim it will do. You need to know it works the way you promised and the company behind it supports it completely. What's more, you should be able to expect the product has been properly tested and proven to give the promised results. Is that too much to ask? I do not think so.

Fortunately, there are many quality products and services backed by reputable and honorable people. But you do need to spend the time to find them. There may be a bit of work to this but it will be worth it in the long run.
