Grains

It is best to consume six ounces of grains per day. To do this, you can eat 3 ounces of whole grain cereals, breads, rice, crackers, or pasta. Fiber will prevent constipation.

Vegetables

Dark vegetables are a fantastic source of iron, which is good for your blood. Carrots and sweet potatos are a good source of vitamins and minerals. They contain very little fat.

Fruits

Fruits are very important. 2 cups each day are a pleasure to enoy. Fruit can be eaten fresh, frozen or canned, or even dried. Take it easy with pure fruit juice though, it can be enjoyed. Fruit juice can contain a great deal of sugar and should be avoided by people with diabetes.

Milk

Milk is best for calcium 3 cups is the aim for adults. For kids aged two to eight, two cups is adequate. When choosing milk products or yogurt, you should go for fat-free or low-fat. Therefore, you should try to avoid these foods and any foods that happen to contain them.
