How to Save Time Scrapbooking
Scrapbooking is an activity that takes time. It may even last all night if you're in the mood for it! What if you do not have that much time to spend on your hobby? The following are some scrapbooking tips so that you can get the most out of your precious time:
Collect all photographs for one layout. Pick out coordinating papers, embellishments, etc. Then doodle a layout idea for your page. Put everything into a storage size zip-lock bag. When it's time to scrap, merely grab a bag out of storage and you don't have to think at all about what to do. You just cut and paste!
Another idea is to use a transparency for your journaling. This way you won't have to print on your paper before sticking it to your page. A transparency is, well, transparent, so it will look like it's not even there when you place it on your page. I like to use Mono Adhesive because it is clear and can barely be seen. You can keep it on the page with either brads, vellum adhesive, or other clear adhesives.
Only do a little scrapbooking at a time. If you have a spare 10 minutes, cut the photo mats and stivk the photos to them. Make embellishments, compose the journaling, anything else that allow you to piece the pages together faster so that it will be less stressful.
Have all of your supplies in a certain place so you are not scampering all over the place looking for things. To make it easier too, try storing your supplies in portable drawers. This way you can move them to wherever you want to work on them.
