If your pot is heavily caked with black grease or burnt black:first apply oven cleaner; wash, then pour table salt on and add vinegar and rub. Rinse. Presto! Amazing clean copper pot. If you are cleaning detailed copper on anything copper use a toothbrush with your salt and vinegar to scrub into the hard to rub places.
