The Dutchess Inspires Long-Term Weight Loss

by Chester Ku-Lea

"Ten years ago, she was a newly divorced ex-princess, struggling with a lifelong weight problem and snarky British tabloids that labeled her as the 'Dutchess of Pork,' " writes Pam Schmid in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Who else from the Royal Family has so publicly battled their weight than Sarah Ferguson? But now the svelte strawberry blonde is at peace with her body, maintaining her goal weight, and is a role model for moms across the world.

Ferguson attributes her weight loss success to the on-going support of Weight Watchers. She eventually became a spokeswoman for the organization and she’s still at it today. Ferguson recognized that obesity is a huge problem and encourage others to lose weight and take care of their bodies.

“I feel great. I’ve got more energy. I’m physically fit. I’m a better mother. I’m just feeling the best I’ve ever felt. People say, you’re 44. And I go, terrific, even better,” Ferguson tells The Early Show co-anchor Rene Syler.

Let Fergie’s story be your story. If you too are struggling with these types of issues, admit that you need help and find a life-long program that supports your goals. Find your own inner-princess!
