Laundry and the Holidays

With the holiday season here, no one wants to spend time doing laundry. Between planning for the holidays, traveling, and enjoying yourself, do you really have time to wash your clothing? Not to mention the temperatures have taken a nose-dive. Dragging a 20lb bag of laundry in the cold is not something you want to be doing during the evenings or weekends. In the spirit of giving, why not treat yourself to laundry service, if only for a few weeks?

Utilizing a drop-off laundry service is a great way to save you time and keep you looking your best for seasonal festivities. A laundromat is especially crowded this time of year. Most laundromats close for the holidays, so the time to do laundry is severely limited. When they are open, they tend to be overcrowded because everyone is trying to launder their best holiday attire. You don't want to get stuck waiting in line at a laundromat after you spent the time hauling your clothing in the cold. Make life easier by arranging for your laundry to be picked up and dropped off.

There is also the matter of dry cleaning. You will be lucky if you make it through the holidays without at least one wine or gravy stain on a piece of your clothing. That will require the touch of a professional. When you arrange to have your clothing picked up you, can also have dry cleaning done. It is certainly a better solution than trying to use salt, seltzer or other hit-or-miss home stain removal methods. Not only are these ineffective, they can damage your favorite and most expensive clothing. Many places also offer mending and shoe repair. Both of these services can come in handy this time of year as well.

Many people are trying to save money this time of year, which stops them from considering commercial laundry services. Still, compared to doing laundry the old fashioned way, the cost of using a drop-off and pick up laundry service is minuscule. If you factor in your time, then using a laundry service actually saves you money.

If you have a pile of dirty clothing you have been meaning to tackle, call a laundry service. You will be happy with the cleanliness of your clothes, you will save time, and you will look your best for the holidays. Do not waste time tediously using a laundromat; there is a better way!
