Pro Choice and Pro Life Arguments on Abortions

There has always been a lot of discussion about both Pro-Life and Pro-Choice of Abortions. The debate is always on whether it is a good option for Pro-Choice - to have abortion or for Pro-Life - to not have abortion. Below discussed are some of the reasons why people are Pro-Choice and why people are Pro-Life for abortion.

Pro-life - Why people are against Abortion:

1.Most people believe that abortion is a heinous act; taking a human life. This is the most common why most people are Pro Life that is against abortion.

2.The laws of the society do not allow harm to any living being. Abortion is a cruel punishment to an unborn child with no fault of its own; a common thought most of the people believe in. Hence it is not a preferred choice of many people

3.Abortion can create a lot of problems, health wise in the future. There are a lot of risks that most women tend to overlook, which is one of the main reasons why people are Pro-Life.

4.There is a lot of emotional and physical strain associated with this process and it is best to avoid such a stressful phase, unless it is medically required.

5.Most women who opt for abortion are the ones who want control over their body and what they do with it, without thinking twice that they are taking life of an unborn child.

6.The people who also prefer getting an abortion done are the teens and young girls who have no clue why they want it done, only to regret it later in life.

Pro-choice - Why people are for Abortion:

1.A majority of abortions are done in the first trimester of pregnancy and during the first few weeks when the fetal pulse is not felt. According to people, this is not taking the life of an unborn child as there is no heartbeat.

2.Abortion is considered a very safe procedure with a very rare percentage of women having problems afterwards. There are usually no major side effects noticed by women especially when it comes to their fertility.

3.This is especially useful for women who have had a traumatic experience like forced sex or rape. The thought of being forced is very disturbing and to add to it, if the woman gets pregnant, it would be even more disturbing for her.

4.A woman has every right to decide for herself what is right for her or not. Abortion is one such decision she has to take on health grounds. It is her reproductive choice.

5.There are more complications for younger girls if they do not have abortion; they would have to drop their studies and would have a hard time trying to bring up the child on her own. It is carelessness on her behalf that she was not careful, but it would be much worse if she has to keep a child and then taking care of it.

6.Stress is a bigger issue than abortion. Women can overcome the helplessness and depression that this procedure brings, but not with stress.
