Health can be described as state of physical, mental and social wellbeing. There a wide range of common health problems in today's world which the vast majority of us are facing. Common problems include diabetes, obesity, heart stroke, allergies, backache and also other body pains.
Diabetes
Diabetes is amongst the more common health problems .It's a metabolic disorder, a condition which occurs as a result of a higher level of blood sugar within the body due to less or no production of insulin within the body. Insulin is known as a hormone produced and secreted via the pancreas. Blood Sugar levels are increased after consuming food and thr pancreas help to release the required quantity of insulin within the blood stream to be able to maintain correct glucose levels in our body. In diabetics the glucose level is increased in the body as a consequence of low or improper use of insulin and this condition is known as hyperglycaemia.
Hypertension and Heart stroke
Hypertension can be described as condition in which the patient has high blood pressure in the arteries; this is also common in today's world. Arteries are the organs that carry blood from the heart to all the tissues and the other parts of the body. If the pressure is increased one's heart must work harder to pump which could sometimes lead to heartstroke, heart attack, renal failure and heart failure. Blood pressure levels in the arteries is elevated if the person has hypertension. Normal blood pressure measures at 120/80. Common causes for hypertension are smoking, obesity, diabetes, high level of salt intake, insufficient physical exercise, stress among others. One must lessen the intake of sodium if affected by hypertension.
Obesity
Health issues associated with weight have become very common, particularly in Western countries for instance the United States and Europe. Maintaining weight is a really important aspect for good health and helps one feel good and possess more energy to complete daily routine work. Being overweight or obese brings about a greater risk of developing other medical problems such as heart stroke, hypertension, diabetes, breathing problemsand many others. Obesity is a condition in which one has extra body weight or extra unwanted fat. Teenage obesity is among the major problems in today's world which is occurring attributable to excess intake of unhealthy foods, improper nutrition,lack of physical exercises, drinking a lot of sugary syrups and soda based drinks etc.
Asthma
Asthma is a disease related to the lungs which brings about difficulty in breathing and it is common both in old and young people. It's as a consequence of allergies, respiratory infections, chemicals, smoking, seasonal changes etc. One must avoid those things which irritate the lungs for example smoking and using odour perfumes. The signs of asthma include a wheezing cough, breathing problems or shortness of breath, tightness in the chest and frequent cough.
Allergies
Allergies can happen at any age. It can be as a result of global warming, increasing amount of pollution, exposure to dust or exhaust gases from vehicles. Allergies may result in itching, rashes and redness of the skin. Some allergies are also due to food.
There are a handful of health issues related to just one gender. For example in women the most frequent problems include backache, joint aches, survical pain caused by an irregular menstrual cycle, breast cancer, vaginal infections, calcium deficiency, depression and numerous others. In males stress and hypertension is quite common.
