PCB maker WUS expects profitable 2Q16
Taiwan-based printed circuit board (PCB) maker WUS Printed Circuit's chairman Hsu-Han Chung (transliterated from Chinese) at the company's investor conference on June 16 said he expects the company to turn to profitable in the second quarter and the third quarter will be the peak of 2016 for the company. Hsu also expects the company to see profit growth in 2016.
WUS's revenues dropped 8.1% on year to reach only NT$4.16 billion (US$128.54 million) in 2015, but the company's net profits were NT$4.73 billion because of income from selling stocks, boosting its annual EPS to NT$15.03.
WUS will distribute dividends of NT$4.50 in cash.
Hsu noted that the company suffered losses in the first quarter because of exchange rates and investments, but has seen increasing demand from its network communication and automotive component clients during the second quarter.
