Fibre rich foods during pregnancy

<b>Garbhakranti fibre rich foods during pregnancy:</b> In the diet, fibre as a nutrient has gross importance. <ul> <li>Dietary fibre helps in faecal bulking and softening.</li> <li>Fibre increases or regularises the frequency of stool.</li> <li>Fibre is bowel friendly.</li> <li>Thus fibre rich foods make me comfortable and make my dream baby comfortable too.</li> <li>During pregnancy, bowel habits get disturbed.</li> <li>Fibre rich foods help to solve this problem of constipation.</li> <li>Rich sources of dietary fibre are cereals, vegetable, fruits and dry fruits.</li> </ul>

<b>Fenugreek seeds </b> <ul> <li>Fenugreek seeds are a rich source of fibre; hence fenugreek seeds are bowel friendly. </li> <li>Fenugreek leaves are a rich source of folic acid.</li> <li>Folic acid helps in brain development of my dream baby.</li> <li>Fenugreek leaves are a rich source of calcium; hence fenugreek leaves strengthen my bones & my dream baby's bones.</li> <li>Fenugreek leaves are a rich source of pro vitamin A [ beta carotene ]</li> <li>Fenugreek leaves are good for me and my dream baby’s eyes.</li> <li>Fenugreek leaves are a rich source of vitamin C.</li> <li>Vitamin C in fenugreek leaves can increase the absorption of iron which is very important in pregnancy.</li> <li>Iron helps in formation of hemoglobin.</li> <li>Hemoglobin carries oxygen to my body and my dream baby; hence fenugreek leaves helps me and my baby to get more oxygen.</li> <li>Fenugreek leaves are a rich source of vitamin B 2; hence fenugreek leaves help in proper metabolism and provide nourishment to me and my dream baby.</li> <li>As per Ayurveda, fenugreek leaves stimulate appetite.</li> <li>I should not eat fenugreek leaves in excess as they increase acidity as per Ayurveda.</li> <li>I should always add fenugreek seeds to wheat flour so that I can consume it every day with wheat chapattis.</li> </ul>
