FUNHOUSEThe premiere Gothic Fashion label was formed in 1988 in New York by Rock Musician Ray Buttigieg seeing the lack of interesting and inspiring clothing and accessory pieces in the United States that would not only work well, but compliment the music by bands like The Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees. At the time Ray's comment on his intentions were "I had been through the Glitter Glam era of the early 1970 and it was a creative and fun time and this is similar to that except that it's darker, more enigmatic and mysterious, besides the materials are of better quality than back then". So the first Funhouse line was introduced in the form of a small collection for men and women that would have made Marie Antoinette and Oscar Wilde happy indeed.
