Companies have differing budgets, and these will have a lot to do with choosing the right monitoring solution. Some processes are dependent on operating 100% of the time, and these need real-time configurations. Others will not gain any useful benefits from sensor monitoring, and so a lab kit may be better. With an investment as high-value and fundamental as this, the best way to decide is to talk with the machine engineers.
