Technology has Come a Long Way for TV Lifts

by Tupac Roberts

It is nice when technology allows us to get the things we want with the same or better quality at a better price than before. It is also easy to see why more and more people are considering TV lift systems for their homes, RV's, and boats, since everyone wants to know how to save space without breaking the bank.

We all know that TV lifts look very attractive, but they can be noisy and sometimes pretty expensive. Not to mention, installation can become a major headache. While silent motors have been around for a long time, installation and price have often still been an issue for most consumers.

One question that has been on the minds of customers and engineers both is how to reduce cost and make a better product that would be easier to install without compromising the integrity of the product itself. Anytime you hear the words cheaper, you start to wonder what makes it cheaper. Lower cost does not always mean lower quality.

Now, there is a line of pedestal type lifts that can move TV's and other displays in almost complete silence, from a discreet position to the desired viewing height. With this new design, each of the lift systems is able to function in a cost effective manner, which means lower costs for you. The new systems also allow for easier installation which can help reduce the time and cost even more.

These lift mechanisms can accommodate up to most 55" flat screen televisions and a have an overall depth of 4.25 inches, which makes it possible to conceal displays in even the most confined spaces. Since the unit is only 8.625 there will be plenty of space left for cables and ventilation.

The limit switches on each model will allow for very fine tuning of the concealed and raised position of your TV lift system so that you don't have any gaps or unsmooth surfaces. The overall height will vary depending on the TV size and the amount of travel that is required for the television to be at optimum viewing level.

The best thing about these modern TV lift systems is that installation is easier than ever. Each lift mechanism comes assembled and can weigh less than 50 pounds. All you have to do is fasten the mounting track to whatever surface you choose, make your connections with the junction box and controller, mount your television and you are done. You also have the option of having an Inca system mounting plate put on the unit for easy removal of the TV from the mounting apparatus.
