Looking For That Friendly Dentist

Dentists are important to our society, well that is a known fact since time immemorial and like the other trades you can choose when you were young, it's quite indispensable to humankind. The problem though is that they aren't the most well sought 'what I want to be when I grow up' job by children; Must be because as kids, we are afraid to face the dentist who takes away our tooth and causes us unbearable pain. Not to mention the horror in our kid's eyes when we see that large needle the dentist holds as he asks us to open out mouths.

Well that is scary, but if we knew the consequences of not taking care of our teeth when we were kids, we would have appreciated the dentist more. Funny thing is that you get to hear none of the complaints you should usually hear from these dentists. Anyways, there are these times of the year, in elementary, that different kinds of job classes visit the school. Most young boys will flock around policemen and firemen and most girls will flock around the nurses or doctors with stethoscopes. Only a few or none will come close to a dentist and those that do go towards them think they are doctors with their stethoscopes too.

But as we grow old, when our teeth break one by one, we appreciate the importance of the dentist. If not for them you will not have those clean and straight teeth you now have. You will not get those crooker tooth fixed and you will still be at home nursing an aching tooth. They are lifesavers, we learn eventually and they take away the pain instead of making the pain. We welcome those anesthesia needles because we know that they are part of the solution when we have tooth aches and we dot argue with what they want to do with our teeth, because it's their expertise and they know what is best.

With that in mind, how about when we have our own children, we break the trend and introduce dentists to our little ones as good doctors that are very indispensible to society in general. That they should aim to be like them, learn their trade and just a throughout make sure that dentists become cool in their eyes. They may strive to be like the dentist as well when they grow up which is not so bad at all.
