For a storage service that is free and which you can access from any computer, this is a lot of storage capacity to have. One aspect of SkyDrive that's a possible drawback is that you are encouraged to use it like a social network. Any files you have uploaded to SkyDrive can be shared with your friends on Windows Live Profile, because they have been integrated together. Even though sharing your files is not a necessity for being on Live Profile, it is a possibility if you started sharing files that you might share the wrong one. Of course, in the final analysis, the first and most important step is your resolve to set up a system for backing up your data. You then have a variety of options to choose from. You must choose a backup solution that is suitable to the type of information you want to keep secure. Perhaps one of the systems mentioned above will be just the perfect fit for you. Nowadays, it's a "no brainer" to find a simple backup solution so there is no reason for anyone to lose any of their data.
