Access Control System: an Assurance for Complete Safety
The business centers where many corporate offices exist together- banks, or corporate buildings that have many sections- need to control the entry of people onto the premises. Due to security and disciplinary reasons it is necessary for these buildings or offices to keep watch on every person who enters or leaves the premises. However it is difficult to do so and keep a log of every visitor due to constant visitors or goers. Hiring a monitoring team is an option but it is not affordable for giant buildings as they have several gates. Such situations can be solved by access control systems installed on the gates. The access control system helps you to deny entry of unwanted persons on the premises and also provides a conditional entry or keeping logs for visitors
There are many types of access control systems such as the door access control system, office access control system, keyless access control system, biometric access control systems, and the list goes on. Every system has its own specialty and demand according to different needs of business houses. For example, the door access control system ensures that only an authenticated person opens a door. And, it buzzes an alert when someone opens the door forcefully. It also indicates the status like free and occupied. Office access control systems ensure the entry of authenticated people and keeps log of entry times. Keyless access control system lets you get rid of a key and lets you enter with different identifications such as code number, magnetic card, voice, eye test, etc. Many offices prefer to have a biometric access control system that needs only a finger or thumb impression to allow access. The advantage of such a system is that you don’t need to carry a magnetic card or remember a code. All you need is your hand, and I am sure you don’t forget it anywhere. Access control systems may be of different kinds but all work on a basic mechanism and that is the controller, locks and access devices. These three systems are the fundamental mechanism on which access control systems work and we will learn about this mechanism in short.
Controller: the controller is the heart of any access control system and a multilevel device. It controls the entire system through a computer. Senior authority of access control uses it for revving logs of entry and exit. It also helps in changing the options according to requirements. For example, few segments of the office can be kept out of access control and open to all such as the cafeteria. However, few segments can strictly control the access by changing the access system through the controller.
Locks: this mechanism denies or allows the access to the premises. The locks of entire or particular segments can be activated or deactivated whenever required. This is possible by using the computer of the controller with the permission of central control authorities. Furthermore, there are two types of locks available in the market: magnetic and electronic. Business houses prefer an electronic lock as they are cost effective. Access device: This system gives you multiple options for different type of security. You can choose one gate with a code access system whereas the main office with biometric access control systems i.e. finger print access. Best access control systems give your office complete security in cost effective ways and easy installation.
