Follow these 7 Stages to Lower Your High Blood Pressure!

by Paul A Philips

One of the biggest warnings that a heart attack or stroke could be on its way is high blood pressure. It's been reported that well over forty-five million people in the USA have high blood pressure and the prediction is that around 90 million will soon develop the disease unless certain life-style changes are made... It's no surprise this proportionally represents the rest of the westernised word.

The several reasons for high blood pressure are well documented and include:

Plaque, a fatty substance lining the walls of blood arteries or vessels accumulated over time causes blood flow restriction or obstruction (arthrosclerosis) which leads to high blood pressure.

Acid waste films deposited on blood vessels also contributes to making the lumen (space inside) narrower. Consequentially, faster blood flow is needed to maintain the same blood supply to vital organs and tissue as with healthy wider vessels.

A lack of oxygenated blood supply to vital organs and tissue can lead to serious illnesses.

Unfortunately, conventional medicine doesn't really look into the underlying root-causes related to the above. Granted, high blood pressure sufferers are given temporary relief through drugs but this short-term fix can manifest into long-term problems. The drugs work by partly blocking calcium channels to make the heart weaker which then pumps out less blood and thus lowers the blood pressure.

Because there is less blood pumped out, the vital organs and tissue get less oxygenated blood supplied than normal. The result, a whole host of side-effects including constant tiredness, dizzy spells, feelings of being run-down, sexual dysfunction, memory failure, depression and personality changes...

Having said all that, a firm focus and commitment to reversing high blood pressure can be achieved through simple, gradual changes in diet and lifestyle. These are the things that address the underlying root-cause of the condition.

Follow these 7 stages to lower your high blood pressure with a real commitment and success will be yours!

1. Take out the 'acid foods' found in your diet. Certain foods when eaten and absorbed into the body cause an accumulation of acid residue. Look online for what foods are 'acid foods' and, like I say, eliminate.

2. Take in more 'alkaline foods' into your diet. When absorbed into the body these foods cause an accumulation of alkaline residue. Again, look online for what foods are 'alkaline foods' and, like I say, eat more of. Also, drink more water. More water increases the bulk in your blood, widens the lumen of the blood vessels and thus lowers the blood pressure.

3. There are a range of very good foods that can lower high blood pressure if eaten often. Do your research. These foods include beetroot, garlic and onions...

4. Take opportunities to get plenty of sunlight since it's an excellent source of vitamin D (D-3). Around 15-20 minutes each day will do the trick.

5. It is well documented that exercise improves cardiovascular function. This in turn contributes to lowering high blood pressure and indeed contributes to weight loss.

6. Stress reduction is of paramount importance. For example, meditating around 15 minutes a day can significantly reduce blood pressure.

7. There are a number of successful therapies available and worth trying such as gel electro-acupuncture or chelation therapy, both help to lower blood pressure.

The key to success is a persistent and consistent approach to the above 7 stages.
