Immigration Bill is Worse than You Know

The Senate Immigration bill is in reality an open gate to a flood of illegal aliens. Authors of the immigration bill and advocates of open borders, along with those eager to see the runaway Hispanicization of the United States are counting on most of you to not read the legislation they've cobbled together. Well, lucky for you I've read it, and in this article I will expose the more loathsome aspects of it.

Congress would create a new kind of person: the Provisional Registered Immigrant (PRI). He is neither legal alien nor illegal alien but rather a new kind of person(present continously in the U.S. since before December 2011) who will now be here under color of law.

Basically, anyone with a story and some falsified papers can register as a PRI. Not only that, his immediate family also gains such status.

The PRI has six years to get his status straightened out. The first sections of the bill require that certain standards be met with respect to border security before aliens can apply for PRI status.

But, what one hand giveth, the other taketh away. USCIS can grant such status if the Supreme Court merely agrees to hear a case related to the new law or 10 years have elapsed since passage of the law. In effect if the border requirements are not met within 10 years then oh well, let them in.

PRI petioners can sue in federal district court on constitutional grounds. A sympathetic federal judge could create new rights for PRI petitoners.

The border enforcement provisions call for the deployment of hundreds of new pieces of equipment and devices and billiions in funding ,some portion of which is to be financed by fees on PRI petitioners and the creation of a "new fraud-resistant, tamper-resistant, wear-resistant, and identity-theft resistant Social Security card" and "grants to community and faith-based organizations" for "outreach." Not such a bad idea but does anyone really think this new bullet proof ID will actually come about?

Border Patrol agents shall receive training from the Civil Rights division of the Justice Department in "civil, constitutional, human, and privacy rights of individuals, and 'social and cultural sensitivity toward border communities' " How touching. Meanwhile you regular folk can still be spied on, harrassed by the IRS, have your calls listened in on by the NSA, FBI etc.

The spouse, child or parent of a U.S. citizen can be granted the status even if they were not continously here and the following violations/provisions under the current immigration law are not to be counted against the alien:

1) inadmissibility for public charge----this is a straight foodstamp in exchange for your vote measure

2) labor certification----no longer does the government have to deem there are americans unavailable to do a job

3) documentation requirements------if you are here without any documents that's ok.

4) aliens unlawfully present-----the requirement that one be deported if here unlawfully is stripped out

5) stowaways

6) those who previously lied to USCIS or INS

7) student visa abusers

All these person will now be admissible under the pending legislation. Amazing. Don't believe me? It's on page 141 of the bill.

Think that's bad? Wait it gets even worse when it comes to Social Security.

"if an individual is unable to obtain or produce sufficient evidence or documentation that the individual was authorized to be employed in the United States during a quarter, the individual may submit an attestation to the Commissioner of Social Security that the individual was authorized to be employed in the United States during such quarter and that sufficient evidence or documentation of such authorization cannot be obtained by the individual."

An attestation is nothing more than someone witnessing the signature of a document, much like having your bank notarize something for you. The bank officer doesn't make any statement as to the authenticity or truthfullness of what he's witnessing only that he has witnessed it.

Since when has your word alone been good enough for anything lately and why should we expect the word of someone who snuck into the country without permission to be any better?

INS agent: "Are you telling me the truth?" Alien: "Si." And he's lying through his Latin teeth.

Sec. 201. [8 U.S.C. 1151] deal with numerical limitations on those admitted by either country of origin or visa type. These limitations are stripped out under the new agricultural section of the law and aliens will be eligible for help with their applications by Legal Aid Societies. Millions of Mexicans applying for the six year visa with the help of already underfunded legal aid offices. Sounds awful doesn't it? It does unless you are escaping South American style poverty in exchange for the North American social services systems.

Section 2537 of the new law creates grants for non-profits groups to help PRI petitioners file their paperwork called Initial Entry, Adjustment, and Citizen ship Assistance grants. (IEACA Grants), and there's free money to help the whole thing along. Isn't that nice? Isn't that generous of you---American taxpayer.

You heard about the English language requirement. Well there's exceptions to that for age and disability. Too old or too stupid to learn English? It's ok.
