by Nathan Bowman

Are you thinking about starting your own window cleaning business or do you just want to see how the professionals do it? Here are some tips on how to start your own business from the ground up; you might even learn a thing or two on how to clean your home windows easier. The draw back of starting any business is that you need some money to buy all the needed tools. Here is where window cleaning has an advantage because these tools shouldn't cost you more than a few hundred dollars if you know what to buy and then you can just start cleaning.

Window cleaning can be very profitable as more and more buildings are totally covered with windows that need to be washed regularly. So there is a high demand for such a business and the costs of starting it are small; what more can you ask for?

To get started you will need to get a business license if you want to do it legit. This is just a couple of forms and a tax that can reach 40 dollars; it might also take a while but it is worth it because this considered being the first brick. Now you will need to buy the tools; for starters you will need a sponge, squeegee, scrubber, razorblades that shouldn't damage your wallet too much but should run you up like a hundred dollars.

Don't think about those guys that wash windows from a special lift high above the ground, as you are just starting, you will only need a ladder; in time, as your business evolves you will be able to extend to higher levels. Actually, consider buying two ladders, a small one and a big one for a better coverage in all situations. Window cleaning is mostly on the outside so you will need ladders for different heights and terrain.

You will also need to buy more tools like a bucket, rags, and cleaning substance. Don't try to improvise with adding some vinegar to it because some might not like the smell. If you want to start cheap, just put some liquid some in the bucket and that should be enough. A professional belt will also come in handy for holding all your tools so that you can focus on window cleaning and not worrying about the placement of each tool.

So, if you are thinking to start a window cleaning business or just trying to wash your home, these tips will prove the be very useful and will help you save money, time and effort. Consider it as an investment for future jobs so that you won't have to go out and buy new things each time you wan to start window cleaning.
