Reactions You May Have To Breast Augmentation
Ever been in a situation where you felt so strongly about wanting something, only to get it and ask yourself, "Is that all?" A number of women confess to wanting procedures done on their breasts only to regret it later, while others go through with the procedure half-heartedly and end up loving the results.
Statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons shows that breast augmentation remains the most popular type of cosmetic surgery to date. To give you an idea of the kind of reactions you may have to your own procedure, below are some of the things a few women had to say following their breast lift surgeries (paraphrased):
1. I'm so happy with mine. I love them! Best investment ever
I hated that one breast seemed to be bigger and better looking than the other. It made me insecure about myself. I would never wear revealing clothes and intimacy was always a problem for me in all of my relationships. I don't regret the amount of money I spent on them.
This proves that you can benefit greatly if you have a meaningful reason for going under the knife.
2. I wish I never had the procedure
My procedure involved having saline implants placed underneath the muscle. They look great of course, but as a result, there are several things I miss out on. For instance, I cannot jog comfortably - unless I'm wearing two sports bras - and I also cannot sleep on my stomach. There are certain exercises that are off limits to me and I cannot do some things such as swinging a golf club. In the long run, I feel like my implants took more from me than they gave me. Furthermore, they didn't last as long as I thought they would.
This shows that you must carefully consider the downsides of getting an implant before going ahead with it.
3. It's not worth it
If your main reason for wanting a breast procedure is because you feel your breasts are too small, then I'd advise you to just stick with them. I've had my implants for the last 7 years and they've given me hell. They ruptured and I needed $5,000 to correct them, which I didn't have at the time. This meant that I was walking around deformed and my self-esteem was at an all-time low. First off, my doctor did not really listen to what I wanted. I started out as a small B and I wanted to be a full C. However, at his suggestion, I ended up being a DD. It did not help that I am a small woman. I was forced to wear two sports bras at a time just to give them the support they needed. Running was out of the question. I'd say you should simply be grateful for what you've got.
This shows the importance of seeking only a certified, experienced, expert and understanding surgeon.
4. They make me look great and they've given me a confidence boost
I was a small A cup but after my procedure I am confidently rocking my new big C babies. They feel real, and they make me look great. It has been two years since my surgery.
Personal satisfaction is keys.
