The purpose of a party favor is to tell your guest Thank You for coming. It is also suppose to remind them that they were and what your party was about.

When you do a kid's party the most important part is not going to be the party itself but the kids take home as their favor. So choose something that causes the kids to have a reaction. In order to accomplish this the favor need to be something other then the traditional candy or baggies that are given out.

At a circus themed party you could give out homemade coupons that could be redeemed for a group trip to the real circus when it is in town. This is something they can play with or wear to remind them of the party.

The newest thing that kids seem to enjoy is the 3-D models that can be put together. You can buy the real ones or the ones made of paper. These models come in all kind of themes and create hours of fun and entertainment. Depending on the skill level required it could create family time between the kid and an adult as they work on it together.
