Herpes Cure - Well Not Quite!
The herpes virus has been tormenting the world since time immemorial. It is indeed a plague because there is no known herpes cure. Becuase herpes withdraws and hides in the nerves between outbreaks (it then lies dormant), your body has a very hard time dealing with it.
Herpes announces itself in an outbreak of tiny vessicles manily around the genital area which later turn into open sores. After an attack the herpes virus retreats back to the nerve endings and hides, making it difficult to treat or to find a cure.
<b>Herpes Cure Studies</b>
Although there is not currently a herpes cure available, there are medications that can suppress the herpes virus and also natural creams and lotions that will kill the virus on contact
The simple fact that herpes is a virus is what makes it difficult to find a herpes cure. Normally your body's immune system will deal with and destroy any viruses it finds but that fact that the herpes virus retreats and hides so well in the nerves when in the dormant phase makes finding a herpes cure a more difficult task.
<b>Herpes Cure Medications</b>
Prescription drugs is currently the only solution that we have for herpes. Antiviral medication can sometimes suppress the herpes outbreaks (but is not a herpes cure) and (sometimes) keeps the condition dormant. However exposure to lots of stress can still cause the virus to come out of the dormant stage. As of now there are no approved herpes vaccinations; however scientists are testing vaccinations on willing participants.
Being careful cannot cure herpes, but...
Don't have unprotected sex with new partners or if you know or suspect your partner may have herpes. This alone will help enormously in preventing you from getting infected with the herpes virus.
Oral sex will also transmit the herpes virus. By using a condom you will prevent the spread of herpes in this manner. Using protection is easy and cheap and whilst it is not a cure for herpes, it will at least prevent you from contracting or spreading the herpes virus
Refraining from having any sexual contact with others is the only sure way to avoid the spread of herpes.
