Obviously these are massive stereotypes but the financial cost of losing a partner (divorces, for example, can cost over ten thousand pounds in legal fees alone) and trying to gain one can be hefty, as you buy a new wardrobe, go out more often and then have the expense of a relationship in its early stages.
As you can see there are things in our life that can be pretty expensive to repair or replace, so the best advice is to take good care of them in the first place.
