Crime and Punishment Chap Twentyfirst

In the last chapter, Ramuzhikin and Raskolnikov are discussing about the police. Raskolnikov thinks that the police officers definitively think of Raskolnikov of killing the rich old woman. Ramuzhin does not believes so. The protagonist returns to his apartment. He now has many bad feelings about the murder of the rich old woman. He is really anxious that the police officers will come after him. He also has a nightmare about the the rich old woman. Raskolnikov then Awakens.

The first section of the 4th part of the work of fiction as Raskolnikov meets a weird male in his apartment. Raskolnikov has just woken up. He is nervous to find a male in his room. The man declares his nickname is Svidrigailov. If readers remember, Svidrigailov was the man who attempted to take advantage of his sister. He failed. He is obviously not in high spirits to see such a male in the apartment. The man tells Raskolnikov that he desires Raskolnikov's help to marry Dunya. The main character is outraged. He refuses immediately. Svidrigailov is unsatisfied with Raskolnikov's denial. Svidrigailov says that he has emotions of love for Dunya. Raskolnikov also says that his wife passed away. He then starts informing Raskolnikov a story about his wife. Raskolnikov declares that his spouse took advantage of his life. He also announces her evil ghost has encountered him before. The main character does not like Svidrigailov and believes he is crazy. Svidrigailov talks with Raskolnikov about the engagement between Dunya's fiance and Raskolnikov's sister. He does not approve of the situation and desires to break up the relationship. He does not Raskolnikov's sister to marry such a feeble man. Svidrigailov believes Luzhin is brainless and arrogant. Svidrigailov also desires to gift dunya with a lot of cash as an apology. Raskolnikov tells Svidrigailov that His sister will never take the cash.
